Vintage Original Dobro Guitar

This is a round neck 1934
Original Dobro Resonator guitar. The serial number on the guitar is 7073 and it
was made in California. I was told that it was originally purchased in
Portland, OR.

Specifications:

Magnolia body, no binding,
Mahogany neck, round neck only, Macawood (Macacauba) fingerboard,
silver-painted hardware (some with plated hardware), black lacquer finish.

Introduced 1932-
discontinued by mid 1934

The guitar is in very good
condition. It has normal wear and tear scratches from its 74-year journey. The
most scratches it has are near the neck on the body, but nothing too bad.

I believe the resonator plate was re-nickeled at
some point, but I’m not sure. The neck is totally straight. The action is low,
not raised for lap play, but it could be.

It came in a vintage
Lifton Case. The case is not in very good condition as far as scratches, torn
seems and the leather handle. The strength of the case however is very solid
and protects the guitar very well. It also comes with a brand new case for any
long distance traveling.

This guitar sounds very rich and full. The
resonator plate has no buzzing or rattles. It is all-original and nearly in
mint condition. It has been played by several professional musician friends,
who have told me that it has a beautiful “one of a kind” sound quality.
