GOLD TONE STEEL METAL RESONATOR ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC DOBRO GUITAR CASE PAUL BEARD
You are bidding on my very nice Cortez Gull Series Dobro With Resonator Acoustic Guitar - Made in Japan - Possibly made in the 1990s, but this is just a guess- There isn't much information about this guitar on the web so I really do not know much about this - It's in pretty nice condition - To start out with, I do not play guitar and only know a little bit about them but I try and do my homework so I can give a good description plus I will post plenty of pictures, any questions I will try and answer and email me if you need more pictures posted. I do my best to let you know what I think is original vs replaced through the years but I do not guarantee that I am totally right and that's why I post all the pictures so you know exactly what you are bidding on - Please allow time for all my pictures to download. I bought this guitar out of a local estate auction and it definitely has not been abused, it's in nice condition and appears ready to use. This guitar is about 40 inches long, about 15 inches wide and is about 3 3/8 inches deep. Very little wear, some very minor scuffs and scratches, overall condition is very nice, hopefully my pictures will show how nice this guitar is. The head is marked Cortez Gull Series and also a dove inlay. The tuning keys are clean and shiny and each one has a design etched into the chrome knobs (see pictures). The back of the head has a Made in Japan sticker. The fret area and back of the neck show very very very little wear. There are 20 frets, plus the nut, all nice and snug plus 5 little dot inlay pieces and 2 dove inlays along the fret board. Currently set up for Hawaiian style with extension nut (5/8 inches tall) but can be removed and nut can be replaced. This is a very nice clean guitar, definitely not abused, very very little wear, all straight, all original with no repairs and a great shiny finish. The body is in great condition, sorry I really don't know the type of wood, just a few minor scuffs and a few little scratches....The face and back have a nice white binding along the body edge. The face has the metal resonator with 2 metal sound holes above it - All the metal has fancy etching in it with applied gold to this etching. The resonator is about 11 inches wide and the little metal sound holes are about 2 5/16 inches wide. The tailpiece is also metal with gold etching plus it has engraved along the end "Christmas 1995"...... The back is just as nice as the front. This guitar does have a carrying case, nice sturdy case, red lining, some scuffs and scratches....... All my musical instruments have been bought out of local estates, some appear to have not been used allot, probably more recreational then for bands or business. I am also listing some other collectible guitars and banjos, some common ones plus some very nice looking collectible ones so check out my other auctions. Sorry no combined shipping charges due to the size limitations at the Post Office..........If you are able to pick up there is no charges for shipping. Have not packed guitar and it anyone wants to know shipping charges it will be based on Parcel Post - Balloon Rate, box size will be 48 x 19 x 11. Shipping and handling in the USA will be $45.00 - This amount is based on shipping to the western states, the closer to Ohio the cheaper shipping will be. International bidders will need to email me for shipping and handling charges to your country, do not bid if your country has size restrictions of 79 inches (email me and I can check). Please view my pictures and good luck bidding.............
